The 718 version of the Cayman GT4 takes everything the 981 generation of the car got right (Which is pretty much everything, anyway!) and turns it up to 11. Generating more downforce front and rear, the 718 Cayman GT4 now gets the engine from the 992 generation of the Porsche 911, but pushed up to 4 litres and keeping it naturally aspirated.
Response and noise – the importance of both should never be underestimated. Having an engine do exactly what you want, when you want, and sound enthusiastic about it while doing it, is just brilliant. The throttle calibration is just perfect, the engine sound clean, smooth, hard. Could only be a flat six.
