JOBS WITH RSR

WANT TO WORK AT THE BEST TRACKS IN THE WORLD?

WORK AT THE NÜRBURGRING AND SPA!

RSR is hiring! We’re looking to add to our team of dedicated and passionate staff at the best race tracks in the world: The Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps! You must have a passion for all things cars and motorsport, and be prepared to work hard during the busy season.

About working with RSR at the Nürburgring, Spa-Francorchamps and other race tracks in Europe:

We are a small, close-knit team of amazing staff that are lucky to be surrounded constantly by the most amazing and coveted sport cars and supercars possible, and occasionally get to drive them! We see some of the coolest motorsports events in the world, constantly  meet likeminded car enthusiasts and get to discuss all things automobile until your hearts content. Every day is different, we get to live absolutely unique experiences and take part in things that only come from being in motorsport, as well as make many contacts in the motorsport world and many partnerships for great deals on car parts, and a workshop with experienced mechanics for advice on your own track tool!

Dream Job? The reality check:

While this can be considered a dream job and an amazing experience – it is very important to remember that this is still work. Important things to remember are that this is a seasonal business so you should be prepared to work longer hours during the season. However, this is balanced with more time off and lower hours in the winter months. Weekend work is required. Days can be long and tiring so it is important to be able to keep up with the demands of the job. You must be able to handle a high amount of stress and pressure with a positive attitude and a smile on your face. Tasks happen fast, last minute and with constant changes and you have to be able to go with the flow. As a newcomer to the company, you won’t be given immediately the keys to a Porsche to drive! The larger cars will only come with supervision and/or length of time in the company. The majority of your time will be spent in the office “watching other people have fun” on track. However on your days off, remember you are living beside one of the greatest circuits in the world, and if you have your own track car, enjoy those laps! We also have to be very up-front: This job is a combination of both Motorsport & Tourism – both not very conducive to family life! The majority of our staff are childless. Anything is possible, but please be aware about the requirements of the job! Finally, remember that the track is built in a remote location. If you are coming from a big city the lack of people, amenities and night life feels very isolating and can be quite lonely.

EU Working permits and visas:

We generally prefer to hire staff that already have the appropriate documentation to work and live in Germany. Better when you are already living in Germany, and best if you already live locally. The process for a German working visa can take over 6 months, and requires you to have specialised skills in order to be accepted. It can be quite a culture shock to move to Germany, especially if you are not fluent in German. However, we have and have had many team members from all over the world, so anything is possible!

Languages:

Our main spoken language in the office is English. Therefore, to communicate with your team members and customers, this is a base requirement. English or other languages are not widely spoken in this part of Germany. Think day to day life of supermarkets, shopping, rental apartment contracts and interactions with government officials and documentation, so we recommend having at least some knowledge of German, as this makes day to day life here much easier. Our team also speak Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Polish and Dutch!

If working at some of the coolest tracks in the world, with some of the best sportscars currently in production sounds interesting you can send your CV (in English) to: jonathan@rsrnurburg.com
