Verified The best event organizer ever: RSR.
I attended the RSR event at the Nurburgring and Spa-Francorchamps from August 1-5. To be sure, the tracks were as amazing as I had hoped them to be and driving them was the fulfillment of a dream. The joyous insanity of the Nurburgring is equaled by the elegance and precision of Spa.But the overall experience provided by RSR was so much more than providing access to the tracks. Every detail of my weeklong trip was handled with such precision and personal attention that I went home wondering what part was the best: Was it the driving? Was it the first class accommodations (trackside at Nurburgring and a Michelin-quality resort in Belgium)? Was it the exquisite food (including gourmet dining at Hotel Le Val d' Amblev for our nights at Spa)? Was it the people handling all the above? Ultimately, it was clear that the people involved in the event made it as good as it was.Ron has assembled the most amazing team, and they ALL make it their mission to ensure that everything is simply perfect.Jonathan's management of the event and our group was superlative. He so clearly finds joy in his work, and that job is executing the vision of a perfect driving holiday in Europe. (Jonathan ... mission accomplished!) Ray was a most welcome addition to everything he attended, with his South African accent and big smile.The cars were in excellent condition, and they were maintained expertly and quickly throughout all phases of the events. If they needed fuel, air in a tire, a tire change (as track conditions changed), oil, a windshield cleaning or anything else (including the fastest change of brake pads I have ever seen), the mechanics almost magically put things right so that I could return to the fun in the least amount of time.The other support staff -- from event managers, photographers, etc. -- were always ahead of us and prepared everything for our arrival. Those events included a VIP lounge dinner at the Nurburgring GP track to watch the old timers racing one night, as well as literally creating a lounge in a garage for our days at Spa.Finally, Ron appeared to take great joy in mingling with his many guests, and he even afforded many of them the pleasure of taking them out for proper fast laps at Spa. (Ron, my wife still thinks you are a rock star for driving her more ably and faster than I ever could. Thank you.)
